The center is nestled on the northeastern end of Breakneck Pond, a little over a mile drive down a windy road off Seven Lakes Drive.
In the video above, Director of Lodging Operations Vinnie Spiotti discusses HOC, what it offers, the improvements they made, and what visitors can expect.
Part of the Appalachian Mountain Club's network of outdoor centers and lodges, the center is open to the public and offers waterfront access to Breakneck Pond, 64 acres of space. A dining hall, group meeting space, and a variety of lodging options, from group and family cabins to platforms to pitch a tent on to shelters are available.
There are also outdoor programs offered. Reservations for the 2017 open on Dec. 1. For more information, click here.
